Robert “Bobby” Luckett played center on the TC Williams Titans football team made famous in the Disney movie “Remember the Titans”. He enjoys working with those just entering the public service professions and hopes to help them along their journey in being part of the finest work any person could choose to do.
Bob Luckett is a retired American public servant. He has worked in the public safety profession for forty-three years. Mr. Luckett served as a paramedic, 911 supervisor and inspector, and fire marshal during his 30 year fire service career with the Alexandria Virginia Fire Department. In 1999 he was promoted to the Chief Deputy Fire Marshal position and remained in that slot until his retirement in 2006.
Throughout his professional career Luckett has served as an instructor and mentor. He has taught with the Virginia Fire Marshal Academy, Alexandria Fire Department Training Division, Ocean City Maryland Police Department, and the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy. Luckett has taught courses in a variety of fire investigation and law enforcement topics and enjoys working with those just entering the public safety professions.
He has won several awards to include two lifesaving awards, two unit citation awards, unsung hero award, silver medal for bravery, Chamber of Commerce valor award, top cop honorable mention award, Attorney Generals award, Americas Most wanted hometown hero award, Federal officers association group achievement award and numerous letters of commendation and service from citizens and civic organizations.
